Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for the role of Operations & Compliance Manager at Cuckfield Medical Practice & The Vale Surgery. This is a well established surgery located across two sites in Cuckfield and Haywards Heath providing primary care services to a patient list of around 12,700. It has a CQC rating of "Good" in all areas and has 3 GP Partners and 5 salaried GPs, along with a multi-disciplinary support team.

Role overview

We are looking for a highly motivated, productive, and proactive individual with a demonstrable career in business and people management, with a strong focus on leadership, compliance in a regulatory environment, policy and procedure management, service improvement and project management.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring we are compliant with all regulatory requirements, service development and delivery of key targets across a full range of clinical and administrative areas within the practice, and working with our practice manager on our HR processes. They will also need to be able to work collaboratively with the partners, practice manager and the wider management team, as a group and individually, to develop and implement strategies.

Person specification

A confident, authentic and resilient individual with excellent communication skills, who can deal with people respectfully in challenging circumstances. They should be adaptable and able to understand and respond to the diverse and dynamic nature of the role, being able to balance the needs of the practice with the ever-changing challenges of providing healthcare.

You will have the vision and drive to move the practice forward and adapt to NHS targets and changes within a friendly and supportive working environment. Our ideal candidate will have an excellent eye for detail and understand and be aware of the pressures for the primary care teams and work to provide operational processes which ensure the smooth running of the Practice.

Experience

Previous health care management experience is not essential for this role; however, individuals will have to demonstrate transferable knowledge and skills.

Package includes salary from 35,000, part/full time considered, 6 weeks annual leave, some working from home time considered.
