We are looking for an

Operations & Compliance Manager

to join our team and take ownership of our quality and compliance frameworks, ensuring we meet all funding, ILR (Individualised Learner Record), and audit requirements with excellence.

Key Responsibilities



Lead the collection, validation, and submission of ILR-compliant learner data for funding purposes Oversee learner documentation including attendance records, registration forms, interview evidence, and milestone progression Maintain strict audit-readiness at all times for inspections and funding partner reviews Implement quality assurance procedures across the learner journey to ensure accuracy, transparency, and timely reporting Train and support internal staff in understanding compliance expectations and data standards Work closely with delivery and learner success teams to ensure data integrity and funding alignment Manage documentation for learner progression milestones (e.g., course attendance, interviews, job outcomes, self-employment plans) Review and update internal LMS/MIS systems and develop workflow tools to simplify audit tracking Handle GDPR, safeguarding records, and ensure all legal and regulatory requirements are upheld

Person Specification



Essential



Experience in a compliance, funding, or operations role within education, further education, or training provider settings Strong knowledge of ILR data standards, ESFA/WMCA funding compliance, and audit preparation Excellent organisation, time management, and attention to detail Confident communicator who can train colleagues and improve internal workflows Ability to interpret complex funding rules and turn them into actionable procedures Proven track record of successful audit outcomes or managing compliance risk

Desirable



Experience using MIS systems such as PICS, MAYTAS, or similar Familiarity with OFSTED frameworks and inspection preparation Knowledge of the creative education or digital skills sector Understanding of learner milestone frameworks (enrolment, job outcomes, self-employment)

Pay: From 12.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 35 per week
