Noor is a growing non-profit based in Blackburn, home to Noor Youth and Noor Sisters: two initiatives dedicated to empowering young people and women.
We're at an exciting point in our journey where we are looking for our first paid team member to help shape how Noor runs.
The Role
We're looking for a proactive, organised, and impact-driven individual to join us as our Operations and Content Associate.
You'll work directly with the founders to help everything run smoothly: from operations and admin, to content and community events. You'll bring bold ideas, challenge how we do things, and help build systems and processes that make Noor stronger and more efficient.
If you're someone who spots what needs doing and gets it done, this role is for you.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Admin: manage schedules, documents, communications, and logistics.
Systems & Processes: help design and implement simple, efficient systems to improve how we operate day to day.
Content Checking: Review written and visual content for accuracy, tone, and alignment with Noor's message before publication.
Event Support: Produce event materials, transport items to venues, printing etc.
Leads Support: Work closely with the Noor leads, helping prioritise tasks, stay organised, and turn ideas into action.
Innovation: Bring fresh ideas and creative thinking to help Noor grow and make a stronger community impact.
Who We're Looking For
A problem-solver who's ready to roll up their sleeves and make things happen. This isn't a role where you wait for instructions. It's for someone who loves taking ownership, figuring things out, and driving ideas forward.
We'd love to hear from you if you are:
Proactive: you take initiative and don't wait to be chased up.
A self-starter: organised, reliable, and confident delivering outcomes.
A fast learner with strong problem-solving skills.
Passionate about Noor's mission and values and committed to community impact.
Strong in written English with excellent grammar, attention to detail, and confident editing and reviewing documents and content.
Tech-savvy: comfortable using Google Drive, Canva and social media platforms, with a strong interest in leveraging various tools (including AI) to increase efficiency.
A driver with access to a car for local travel.
Female.
Based in or near Blackburn.
Note: Studies show that women are less likely to apply for a role unless they meet 100% of the requirements, but we encourage you to apply even if you don't tick every box. If you're passionate, proactive, and eager to learn, we want to hear from you.
Bonus Points If You:
Have experience in admin, community projects, writing, or editing.
Have experience improving systems and bringing structure to creative ideas.
Have Arabic language skills for checking, translating, or understanding faith-based content.
