Operations Coordinator, Student Information Centre
36.5 hours per week, 365 days of the year
Shifts between 07:00 - 22:00, 5 days over 7
Starting Salary is 26,707 per annum
Salary - employees normally progress by one spinal point each year until they reach the highest point in the grade.
About You
We're looking for an enthusiastic, self-driven individual with a strong focus on customer service to actively support reception and front-of-house duties, ensuring an exceptional experience for all.
The ideal candidate will have prior experience delivering top-tier customer service in hospitality and demonstrate effectiveness both independently and as part of a team. Strong administrative skills, particularly in hospitality, and impeccable organisational abilities are essential.
In this role, you'll play a vital part in ensuring outstanding service to our diverse clientele of 25,000 students and 100,000 conference attendees annually. Your responsibilities will include efficiently managing check-ins and check-outs, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, processing payments, managing bookings, and performing general administrative tasks.
You'll join a welcoming team within a dynamic and professional department, where adaptability and a customer-centric approach are key. Flexibility is required, as you may need to cover shifts at two reception desks during peak periods. Prior experience in a bustling, customer-centric environment and supervisory skills are crucial. Experience in hotel or student finance environments is advantageous.

The Student Information Centre housed within Senate House boasts an unparalleled scale, scope, and diversity within the hospitality industry. We oversee access to the 7479 bedrooms located on campus, setting us apart.
Operating seven days a week at the core of the campus, we are dedicated to assisting all Warwick University students, conference attendees, and staff with their needs, whether day or night.
Serving as the primary point of contact for Warwick Accommodation, Student Records, Student Finance, and various academic inquiries, we strive to deliver top-notch service on behalf of the University.
Our team members play a vital role in providing essential support and exceptional customer service to all individuals. The nature of the job demands flexibility, including shift work, weekends, and unconventional hours, totalling 362 days a year. Moreover, it necessitates making critical decisions independently during off-hours.
As part of our dynamic and professional department, you will collaborate within a friendly team environment, utilising your IT and communication skills to offer reception and administrative support.
