Reporting directly to the Operations and Maintenance Manager with the focus to provide support to the operational teams in respect of SHE, plant reliability maintenance and cost control in line with the EPR business plan.
Key Responsibilities
Determine the day-to-day operational needs of the station, interfacing both operations and maintenance staff.
Provide clear direction and priorities to ensure the stations effectiveness as a single team is maximised at all times.
Seek to meet the stations daily and monthly output targets.
Hold responsibility for the stations operations and consumables budgets.
Ensure effective decision making takes place, such that longer term goals and objectives are not compromised or impeded.
Guide and direct the sites operations team.
Engage in the day-to day activities of the shift teams.
Play a key role with daily and weekly planning, taking the lead role in the execution of outages.
Support the execution of the SHE Management system.
Assist the Financial Controller with detailing and communicating all operational costs.
The successful candidate will ideally have a 'time served' apprenticeship, with a minimum of 5 years power generation experience, an HNC or equivalent qualification in electrical or mechanical engineering and a SHE qualification. You will be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills and IT skills which include Microsoft products and Maintenance Management System software. This position may attract an On-Call requirement.
