Job Type: Full Time - 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday

We are looking for an experienced Operations & Delivery Manager to oversee our daily operations and ensure our business is running efficiently and effectively. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in production, operations management, excellent leadership skills, and a strategic mindset to drive continuous improvement initiatives. Experience of overseeing SaaS delivery would be advantageous.
This role is an office and site based role. We do however offer the flexibility to work from home on Fridays once the successful candidate's knowledge base has grown sufficiently. There may be an occasional need to work from the office on Fridays if required by the business. Occasional travel to other European and global locations may be required.

Cammax designs and manufactures touch screen kiosks at its purpose built factory in Castleford. We have a range of standard kiosks and also produce bespoke designs. We develop the software applications and customise kiosk hardware and peripherals as required. Cammax employs a nationwide team of engineers who carry out site surveys, system installation and comprehensive on-site maintenance.

Key ResponsibilitiesEnd-to-end accountability for all operational activities ensuring capacity meets demand within set timeframes
Developing and implementing operational strategies to optimise productivity, reduce costs and improve efficiency throughout operational teams
Lead and guide teams in continuous improvement initiatives, fostering a culture of operational excellence across the organisation
Manage and provide leadership and strategy for operational Department Managers (Production / Warehouse / Project Management) to achieve performance goals.
The coordination of and overall responsibility for software deliverables
Work closely with the Procurement Manager to ensure excellent supplier relationship and supply chain management
Overall responsibility for organisational health and safety and HSE compliance
Oversee day to day operations including inventory and stock management, scheduling, and quality controls
Co-ordinate with Department Managers to ensure smooth processes and communication across teams for integrated product delivery
Building/Warehouse maintenance and infrastructure across 2 factory locations
Managing, motivating, and overseeing production teams at 2 facilities
Planning, organising, and scheduling orders to ensure they meet customer deadlines
Responsible for all training requirements of the production team ensuring builds are done safely and to the required quality standards
Monitor processes and implement improvements to achieve cost and time saving enhancements whilst ensuring high quality
Working closely with the technical and organisational departments to ensure smooth implementation and resolution of any issues and bottlenecks
Stock management - working closely with procurement and sales to ensure production is not affected by product shortages and delays in supply chain
Develop and implement processes for improvements, cost savings & continual improvements in production
Prepare reports and presentations on production performance, KPIs, and project updates for management review.
Line managing 5 direct reports and approximately 10 indirect reports.
Skills, Knowledge & ExperienceExtensive experience as an Operations Manager / Head of Operations within a production environment is essential
Demonstrable success in implementing operational strategies and continuous improvement initiatives is essential
Experience within the SaaS industry is advantageous
Experience of overseeing software deliverables would be advantageous
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact effectively across all levels of the organisation
People leadership, development and coaching of team members is essential
Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets and cost control
Deep understanding of KPIs and the ability to produce reports
Strong understanding of health and safety standards and HSE regulations is essential
QualificationsIOSH certification would be advantageous but not essential
