VANRATH are delighted to partner exclusively with a renowned luxury hospitality group to appoint a Operations Director. This individual will lead and support a portfolio of large high-performing hospitality venues (4-10 locations). This is a pivotal leadership role, responsible for driving operational excellence across the Group.
This is an "eyes-on, hands-off" role - you'll be deeply aware of the numbers and operational performance of each unit without needing to micromanage. You'll act as a mentor and coach to General Managers, enabling them to thrive while maintaining accountability on KPIs, financials, and guest satisfaction.
With expansion underway, we're looking for an Operations Director who can help scale our success - not just in numbers, but in culture, leadership, and guest experience.

What you'll do
Oversee daily operations of 4-10 venues across the group, ensuring consistency and performance across all locations.
Lead, coach, and mentor General Managers to elevate team performance, foster leadership, and support professional development.
Monitor and interpret key performance indicators (KPIs) and P&L reports; make data-informed decisions to improve efficiency and profitability.
Maintain a deep understanding of each unit's financial and operational performance.
Collaborate with the executive team to shape business strategy, brand positioning, and future growth opportunities.
Ensure venues operate in line with brand standards and customer expectations - from service quality to ambiance and cleanliness.
Drive innovation and efficiency in operations, cost control, and supplier relationships.
Instil and maintain a positive, inclusive, and performance-led culture across all teams.
Maintain awareness of market trends and competitor activity, proposing adjustments to maintain competitive edge.
About you
  • A proven track record in hospitality operations or property/venue management with multi-site oversight being preferred
Demonstrated ability to manage P&L and operational KPIs across multiple sites.
Natural mentor and leader - able to guide GMs and develop talent in a supportive and structured way.
High emotional intelligence with a strategic mindset.
Comfortable with fast-paced environments and scaling operations while maintaining quality and culture.
