We are currently seeking an excellent

Operations & Events Coordinator

for a full-time position at The Place Hotel, on York Place, in Edinburgh.

The Place Hotel is an award winning four-star 47-room boutique townhouse Hotel with a purpose-built Conference & Event space with extensive outdoor terrace, banqueting facilities, wedding and receptions.

As part of our Operations Team and Events Team, you will have the opportunity to contribute to a delicate part of the business. You are eligible for

additional earnings through our service charge

for the services we offer to our customers. Please note that upon successful probation, the pay rate will be reviewed to fit the higher band we have proposed.

The successful candidate will:

have a great approach with customers, upholding our high standards of service and be confident and pleasant whilst operating with clients/customers over the phone. work collaboratively with the departments within our team, with anti-discriminatory attitude, inclusion and respect. have a culture of safety, openness and honesty. be able to work effectively under pressure as it is expected in the hospitality industry. be conversant with technology and IT, being able to use Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and straightforward UI of other digital platforms. have the highest standards of hygiene and cleanliness, be tidy and organised. collaborate with others in your team to ensure Health and Safety and Food Safety standards are the highest within the Hotel. have a passion for event organisation/promotion and understanding the smooth running of operations in a Hotel.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 12.50-12.75 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
