We're looking for someone who gets genuine satisfaction from bringing order to busy people, steadying the ship, and keeping the wheels of a growing business turning. This is a key role, working directly with the owner as their right hand. Yes, there's a lot of admin to begin with, but there's also room to grow into operations, projects, and helping improve how the whole business runs.
If you like variety, enjoy being trusted, and take pride in staying one step ahead, you'll feel at home here.
What you'll be doing
This will evolve, but from day one you can expect to:
Manage diaries, organise meetings, and make sure preparation, follow-up and actions don't slip
Be a friendly, reliable point of contact for clients and team members
Handle day-to-day admin and keep systems updated and accurate
Support onboarding for new clients and team members
Help with recruiting and training new team members
Draft emails, take notes, create reports and organise documents
Help keep projects moving by chasing actions, closing loops and flagging issues early
Improve processes over time so tasks become smoother, faster and more consistent
Who this role is right for
This job suits someone who:
Is proactive, organised and takes ownership of their work
Gets satisfaction from being the steady, reliable person people can count on
Is confident working independently without needing constant interaction
Can switch between detailed admin and warm, human client communication
Likes improving systems, not just "doing tasks"
Notices small details and cares about accuracy
Likes variety -- no two weeks will look exactly the same
Wants a career (not just a job)with a family business that really cares
Important note about working style
This is an office-based role with
a lot of independent work time
. Some people love that. Others find it lonely. We want someone who is comfortable in their own company for long stretches, and doesn't need a loud, busy office to feel energised and can use their own initiative.
If you enjoy focused solo work AND also love speaking with people, this will suit you.
What you get
30,000-34,000 salary (depending on experience)
Company pension
Private health insurance
Free on-site parking
Full time, Monday to Friday, every weekend off
No evening or weekend work
Training and personal development as the role grows
A fantastic opportunity to shape how the business runs as we scale
Why this role matters
This isn't a "secretary" job. It's a partner role -- helping free up time, drive momentum, and support the Directors and business as it grows. You will have real responsibility, your work will make a visible difference, and you'll be trusted to get things done.
