To manage day-to-day administrative, financial, and operational functions of a busy joinery manufacturing business. This role involves acting as a key liaison for clients, suppliers, and internal teams, while maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring smooth office operations.
Key Responsibilities
Administration & Customer Service
Act as first point of contact for customers, suppliers, and clients by phone, email, and in person.
Respond to customer queries and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
Organise site visits for measuring and liaise with customers regarding timescales and scheduling.
Assist in preparing and following up on quotations using JoinerySoft.
Schedule joiners for manufacture, painting, and fitting work.
Follow up with customers post-completion to ensure satisfaction.
Maintain and update filing systems and databases.
Update and manage company social media.
Keep health & safety records up to date.
Financial & Bookkeeping
Process sales and purchase invoices using Sage Cloud Accounting.
Perform regular bank reconciliations.
Prepare monthly management reports for Directors.
Process VAT returns and submit digitally via MTD (Making Tax Digital).
Run payroll using BrightPay and manage PAYE.
Manage pension submissions via NEST.
Perform online banking tasks: pay suppliers, run wages, reconcile payments.
Monitor and follow up on outstanding debts (credit control).
Ensure all incoming and outgoing payments are accurately tracked.
Stock ordering and quarterly stock takes.
HR & Compliance
Maintain employee records, including holidays and sickness (via Timetastic).
Manage training records and update personal files.
Ensure company policies and records are up to date.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: 30,600.00 per year
