We are a well-established, forward-thinking GP practice looking for an experienced and motivated
Operations Lead
to oversee the day-to-day running of our non-clinical services and support the delivery of high-quality patient care.
About the Role
As Operations Lead, you will play a central role in managing the administrative functions of the practice. Reporting to the GP Partners, you will ensure the smooth running of practice operations, support staff management, and help drive improvements in efficiency and patient experience.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee the daily running of reception and administrative teams
Ensure compliance with CQC, NHS, and information governance standards
Support staff recruitment, rotas, training, and HR processes
Monitor performance, patient feedback, and manage complaints
Maintain and improve systems and processes to ensure high-quality service delivery
Assist in financial oversight, contracts, and resource management
Contribute to the strategic and operational planning of the practice
What We're Looking For
Previous experience in a leadership/operations role (healthcare or primary care experience is desirable)
Strong organisational and communication skills
Confident team leader with a hands-on approach
Familiarity with NHS systems (e.g. EMIS, QOF) is an advantage
Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
