Role Profile:
You will form part of the Maintenance and engineering team, working primarily on supporting our Food Production operation, by maintaining and repairing our fleet of bespoke machinery, including manufacturing lines, flow wrappers, filling machines and more.
You will help carry out the technical changeover of the key equipment in our manufacturing lines, and help direct changeover and cleaning teams.
You will provide hardware support and maintenance of all in-house built machinery. This includes planned and preventative maintenance, diagnosing faults and responding to support calls.
The core focus of this maintenance work will be a manufacturing line which is a continuous product line.
You will be a problem solver, and have the initiative to work through issues and resolve them in a timely and orderly manner. You will be able to keep calm to work through issues under pressure and communicate to the wider team.
You will also be responsible for assisting the operations team and be their support line.
No specific qualifications are required, but will be considered and experience with mechanical engineering, electronics and/or 3D printers is a must, and must be demonstrable!
Essential Skills/Experience
Strong problem solving skills essential.
Technically and mechanically-minded. Good understanding of how mechanical components work.
Strong DIY and Technician skills, with the ability and knowledge to take complex devices apart and reassemble them. Knowledge of how to operate standard workshop equipment such as Pillar Drills and Angle Grinders.
Knowledge of Electronics, especially AC and DC wiring, Single phase and 3phase, is a must.
Understanding of mechanics.
Quick learner when it comes to understand new systems, new electronics.
Desirable Skills/Experience
Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
Experience of maintaining equipment such as PLCs, motors, conveyors, filling lines, flow wrappers, belts etc is highly desired.
Good understanding of how bearings, motion systems work and how they must be maintained.
A qualification such as a degree in mechanical engineering is beneficial.
This is a full-time, on-site and in-house role. No consultants, agencies or part-time seekers will be considered for this role.
