We are seeking a collaborative and highly organised individual to join our Learning and Engagement department as
Operations Manager: Learning and Engagement
. In this role, you will oversee the day-to-day planning and delivery of high-quality programmes across our sites, ensuring smooth operations and exceptional service.
You'll work closely with colleagues, volunteers, and external partners to maintain operational excellence, support programme logistics, and contribute to the strategic goals of the department and IWM.
What You Will Be Doing
Team Leadership
: Line-managing Operations Assistants and overseeing workflow alongside another Operations Manager.
Programme Delivery
: Planning and scheduling Learning and Engagement activities, monitoring KPIs and budgets, managing assets and resources, and ensuring seamless delivery across IWM sites.
Systems & Processes
: Designing and maintaining efficient operational systems, identifying time-saving solutions, and promoting shared responsibility across the team.
Site Coordination
: Responding to the unique needs of each IWM site, adapting plans and resources accordingly, often at short notice.
Collaborative Working
: Supporting Executive Producers in programme planning, coordinating school volunteering, and liaising with Estates teams to communicate operational changes.
Communication
: Acting as the first point of contact for operational enquiries, maintaining clear and professional communication with staff, casual workers, and volunteers.
Monitoring & Reporting
: Managing departmental budgets, coordinating school bookings, processing ticketing data, and contributing to evaluation and reporting in line with IWM's strategy.
Compliance & Safety
: Ensuring adherence to GDPR, safeguarding, cyber security, and health & safety policies, including training as a Designated Safeguarding Officer.
Who We Are Looking For
We're looking for someone who brings:
Proven experience in managing complex programme logistics and resource planning.
Strong skills in monitoring datasets and contributing to programme evaluation.
A collaborative mindset with the ability to adapt communication styles to support diverse teams.
Experience in line-management and working with contractors, freelancers, and volunteers.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills across large organisations.
Flexibility and agility in managing multiple projects simultaneously.
