Grade F (Local government pay scale points 29-33) 39,862-44,075 per annum

An exciting opportunity is available for a leisure professional looking to join one of the region's leading leisure facilities and service providers.

You will be part of the management team working closely with the Head of Leisure to drive standards and business performance. Teignbridge Leisure has three leisure centres: Broadmeadow Sports Centre, Dawlish Leisure Centre and Newton Abbot Leisure Centre, and one outdoor seasonal pool, Teignmouth Lido. Each leisure centre has its unique offering, from the gym and swimming, to exercise classes and indoor sports.

You will be expected to drive standards where our language is positive, we engage and listen to our teams and customers, promote a positive attitude, and recognise our responsibility as leaders to motivate and inspire. You'll understand what makes a workplace thrive, and inspire your teams to deliver excellent customer service, innovate in service delivery, and have a passion for delivering inclusive and engaging leisure services.

To be successful in this role, you will have:



Considerable experience in an operational management position in the leisure and sports industry, preferably including multi-site management. Experience in staff management, able to build rapport and credibility with colleagues, and be motivated to make a difference and take the service forward through operational excellence and a supportive culture (a recognised management qualification is desirable on application, such as an ILM 5). Experience in delivering customer service excellence, able to work closely with colleagues to quality assure all aspects of customer experience. A solution focussed mindset and confidence in dealing with problems and challenging situations, embracing challenge and change as a positive opportunity to assess what works and what needs development.
