Job Description

Job Purpose:

The Operations Manager is responsible for the delegation of duties, direction, and performance results of the operations team on their shift. The "Ops Manager" facilitates in a hands-on manner and coordinates their operations and logistics team while working alongside the Sous Chef on duty throughout the shift to manage the daily operation.

Responsibilities and Associated Duties:

Allocation and planning of packing, screening, and delivery of catering orders. Managing a shift of 5+ operations staff including drivers, coordinators and operations support staff. Delegation of inbound call and email traffic ensuring adequate resources in all areas. High level of communication with the kitchen team as the point of contact for operations and logistics.

REQUIREMENTS

Experience in managing staff members and client relationships in a business environment and exceptional organizational skills.

Excellent verbal and written communications skills.

2-5 years prior experience and knowledge of high-end food services, Aviation or hospitality is required.

Demonstrated ability to create and maintain a strong team atmosphere within the operation and ensure that employees are appropriately trained, carry appropriate work loads and have required resources.

Must demonstrate ability to schedule and manage labour efficiently.

Must be able to work well with rapidly changing operational circumstances.

*Must have an excellent driving record and valid driver's license and be able to pass a security clearance and pre-employment and random drug and alcohol screenings.

OPERATIONAL DEMANDS

Flexible work schedule required, including weekends and holidays.

Current schedule is a 6 on 3 off pattern.

Early Shift - 06:00 -14:00

Late Shift - 14:00 - 22:00

Overtime is paid and due to the nature of our industry will be required from time to time.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From 35,000.00 per year
