Role Overview



As Operations Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing day-to-day operations of our takeaway restaurant. You will lead shifts, oversee staff, manage till operations, and ensure top-quality food preparation (including gyro / souvlaki meat slicing). You will also be responsible for broader operational duties, including cost control, health & safety, and team development.

Key Responsibilities



Lead, manage, and motivate the restaurant team during shifts Oversee food preparation, including slicing gyros / souvlaki, portion control, and quality standards Manage cash operations, tills, and daily reconciliation Monitor and maintain operational KPIs (sales, labour costs, waste, etc.) Create staff rotas; ensure adequate cover and efficient shift planning Recruit, train, coach, and develop restaurant staff Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health & safety regulations Conduct regular stock checks and manage inventory / ordering Handle customer feedback and complaints professionally, seeking continuous improvement Work with senior management to roll out initiatives, promotions, and improvements Drive a culture of high performance, collaboration, and outstanding service

Person Specification / What We're Looking For



Experience in a senior role within a restaurant, takeaway, or hospitality environment (preferably in fast food / QSR) Proven leadership and people management skills Strong understanding of food operations, cost control, and P&L responsibilities Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills Hands-on, flexible, and willing to work during peak hours / weekends Passionate about food quality, service excellence, and building a team culture Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment

Pay: 14.00-20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 45 per week
