Job Title: Operations Manager / Retrofit Lead

Reports To: Operations Director

Salary Scale: 50,000 to 60,000

Location: Hybrid

Hours: 40hrs per week (Flexible working)

Job Purpose



We are seeking an experienced and driven Operations Manager / Retrofit Lead to manage the day-to-day operations of our organisation while leading the delivery of energy efficiency retrofit schemes. This hybrid role requires a strong operational leader with deep knowledge of retrofit and construction to ensure the business functions efficiently while advancing our mission to deliver impactful retrofit programmes.

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in overseeing operations, managing retrofit delivery, driving continuous improvement, and contributing to strategic growth.

Key Responsibilities



Operational Management:



Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to ensure smooth and efficient running of the organisation Manage daily operations across departments including delivery, logistics, finance, and customer service Oversee and ensure compliance with contractual obligations, legal requirements, and internal standards Monitor and analyse performance data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reports to meet financial targets Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies Lead and develop a high-performing team, providing coaching, mentoring, and support

Retrofit Leadership:



Lead and oversee the planning and delivery of domestic energy efficiency retrofit programmes Ensure all projects comply with UK building regulations, PAS standards, health and safety, and environmental guidelines Work collaboratively with technical teams, supply chain partners, and clients to ensure customer-focused retrofit delivery Identify and develop new retrofit opportunities in line with Cyd Innovation's values and strategic priorities Stay up to date with funding schemes, policy developments, and technical innovations in retrofit Contribute to quality assurance and continuous improvement across retrofit operations Represent Cyd Innovation in relevant retrofit forums, partnerships, and stakeholder engagements

Essential Skills, Experience and qualifications



Bachelor's degree in construction or business-related field MRICS Accredited Proven experience as an Operations Manager or similar leadership role in the construction industry and ideally energy efficiency retrofit schemes Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team Strong knowledge of contract management, project management, HSE, and energy efficiency schemes. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards Intrapreneur skillset

Desirables



SMSTS, CSCS, NEBOSH, MCIOB or equivalent
