Flight Calibration Services Ltd (FCSL) is a privately owned British company with over 15 years of experience in the provision of high quality flight inspection services for airports and aviation authorities world-wide, and more recently has expanded the business into supporting aerial survey work.
We own and operate a fleet of eight aircraft, and with a dedicated team of experienced and qualified crew, we support over 90% of the UK civil airports (including Heathrow, Gatwick, Stansted, Manchester) each year, whilst rapidly expanding our overseas offerings with contracts currently being delivered across Europe, Middle East, and Asia.
The company employs over 35 full time staff based out of our head office and operational base at Shoreham Airport in West Sussex.
We are currently recruiting for the role of an
Operations Planning Assistant
.
Reporting to the Head of Operations, you will be joining a small team of energetic and dynamic individuals that are the hub of the business and responsible for the successful delivery of our day-to-day operations around the world.
You will hold a vital role in supporting the Operations team, with typical administrative duties including:
- Direct engagement with our customers, airport authorities, and ground handling agents, to facilitate aircraft and staff movements.
- Organising hotel and travel bookings, and support to operation spend analysis.
- Consumables planning
- Keeping and updating records on our Flight Watch Service, and the monitoring of flight limitation calculations
- Assist in the maintenance of the Operations Master Schedule, taking into account:
Aircraft availability
Crew availability
Aircraft maintenance
Customer requirements
Regular/existing contracts
The role will be office-based working around a standard 37.5 hour working week from Monday to Friday.
Due to the nature of our work, and the need to support our team deployed internationally, you may be occasionally required to support early mornings and late evenings which could be done from home or the office. In addition, you will be expected to support a one-weekend a month rotation where you will be required to be on-call.
Time-Off-In-Lieu (TOIL) can be taken for hours worked over and above your contracted hours.
Experience / Qualifications
The role is suitable for those experienced in working within an aviation operational environment.
However, as full on-the-job training is provided, there is the opportunity for in-experienced candidates to also apply who show an enthusiastic interest in aviation and developing and stretching into a career in the operations field.
Due to the fast-paced and changing nature of our business, a well-suited candidate will be flexible and comfortable in dealing with changes positively, whilst operating in a very organised and methodical manner.
You will need to have excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and must be able to work on your own and equally with others as part of a small team.
Basic computer literacy is required in applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
