The Role
As an Operations Supervisor, you will take on a multi-skilled role that blends office-based tasks, customer interactions, and fieldwork. You will be a key player in maintaining high standards of service delivery and ensuring client satisfaction through regular site visits, audits, and effective communication with both customers and internal teams.
Key responsibilities include:
Oversee all staff within your designated contract, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
Make day-to-day decisions to effectively manage the Contract Cleaning Team and maintain high productivity and service quality.
Collaborate with the Line manager to meet project schedules and allocate resources appropriately.
Identify potential talent, provide training, and engage employees through regular feedback and development opportunities.
Manage time and attendance records, submitting weekly reports on system trackers.
Work within department budgets to deliver efficient and high-standard cleaning performance.
Provide regular updates to the Line manager on weekly activities, financial status, challenges, and achievements.
Ensure departmental paperwork is completed accurately and on time.
Maintain a small fleet of vehicles, ensuring they are in a roadworthy condition and reporting any issues.
Support cleaning teams when needed, including performing cleaning tasks as required.
Deliver services that offer value for money while maintaining the company's reputation for excellence.
Handle stock management, material orders, and department assets with support from the Line manager.
Manage contract purchase orders, invoicing, and ensure financial KPIs are met.
Maintain basic Health and Safety compliance, manage disciplinary issues, and support staff training and development.
Essential Requirements:
Consistently demonstrate a professional attitude when interacting with staff, clients, and the general public.
Ability to identify and address issues promptly while maintaining high cleanliness standards.
Valid driver's license and a willingness to travel is essential to this role.
