Operations Supervisor - Water Industry





RPS is seeking a proactive and experienced

Operations Supervisor

to join our team based in

Irlam

. This rewarding role is central to the smooth running of our operations, focusing on the supervision of a team of Wastewater Surveyors and the management of associated equipment and logistics. Salary is negotiable dependent on experience. Drainage industry experience is advantageous but not essential as training can be provided for the right candidate.

What you'll be doing




Team Supervision:

Lead and support a team of Surveyors, ensuring operational efficiency and high standards of work.


Warehouse Oversight:

Manage the warehouse, ensuring equipment is stored, maintained, and readily available.


Safety Equipment Management:

Track and maintain safety kit to ensure compliance and readiness. Arrange calibration of safety kit and maintain the equipment register.


Site Based Workplace Inspections/audits:

Conduct workplace inspections to uphold safety and quality standards.


Equipment Coordination:

Ensure teams are equipped with the right tools and resources for each project.


Equipment Liaison:

Collaborate with the Equipment Manager to streamline equipment usage and maintenance.


What we're looking for?



Commitment to health and safety standards Strong written and verbal communication skills Previous experience in a supervisory role Excellent problem-solving and accurate record-keeping capabilities Demonstrable track record of reliability and flexibility Full UK driving licence (manual) Strong organisational skills and attention to detail Excellent communication and leadership abilities Familiarity with equipment tracking and calibration processes Experienced in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
