Supporting the Operations Manager and potential progression to Junior Operations Manager
rate of pay 20.00
30 hours a week, Monday to Friday, 8.30 - 2.30
Driver essential - travel required
Mileage paid @ 40ppm
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated cook/manager to oversee our catering operations from Newbury to Trowbridge. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hospitality and food service, demonstrating exceptional leadership and supervisory skills. This role involves coordinating food production and preparation, ensuring adherence to food safety standards, and providing an outstanding experience for our clients. The successful candidate will play a vital role in managing staff, maintaining quality control, and ensuring that the catering on sites run professionally and smoothly
Duties
Supervise and lead the catering teams to ensure high-quality food production and preparation and excellent service to all clients
Coordinate catering events from start to finish
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Assist in the training and development of staff in culinary techniques, food handling, and customer service.
Manage inventory levels of food supplies and equipment, placing orders as necessary.
Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and preferences, providing excellent customer service throughout the process.
Monitor staff performance and provide constructive feedback to enhance team efficiency.
Handle any issues or complaints that may arise during events promptly and professionally.
Qualifications
Proven experience in a supervisory role within the hospitality or catering industry.
Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
Experience in food production and preparation techniques.
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality.
Previous experience in bartending is an advantage but not essential.
A passion for culinary arts and delivering exceptional service.
