Petrofac is currently looking to recruit an operations technician to be based offshore on the Kittiwake platform on a 3/4/3/5 rotation

JOB TITLE: OPERATIONS TECHNICIAN
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensure all operations equipment for life support and safety systems is maintained and available.
Identify and report to the control room any plant or equipment malfunction. Implement adjustments under the direction of the control room with the goal of achieving safe and reliable production.
Work as a key member of the team who is responsible for the safe operation of the plant.
Implement shutdown, design and implement isolation, clean equipment required for maintenance, purge and de-isolate, and ensure all work permits have been cleared before bringing production back online.
Carry out front-line maintenance such as filter changes, pressure and temperature gauges replacements, etc.
Recover plant from any emergency shutdown and organize loss of production whilst adhering to operating procedures
Carry out lab duties, procedures and basic oil and gas analysis
Complete pre-start-up and operating checks, ensuring all interdependent systems are available. Complete post-start-up and operating checks to ensure normal operating conditions
Carry out site visits and advise on the risk assessment controls required for work in your assigned area. Act as a countersignatory within the permit system as assigned by the STL.
Take responsibility to monitor work parties in your area and ensure housekeeping standards are being maintained before, during and after works
Ensure appropriate data is collected, collated, and reported in a timely manner and with a high degree of accuracy in support of production optimization and client quality expectations.
Take responsibility for and ownership of 28-day or 7-day planning and maintenance activities within the discipline and as delegated by the STL.
Work with disciplined technicians to provide effective and efficient plant preparation and re-instatement following maintenance and to ensure only one outage will be required, encompassing all planned activities for the period.
Ensure all documentation, daily logs, and trip handovers are to a high standard and accurate.
With the PMC, monitor material movements on the materials tracker and manifest.
ICP focal point as tasked by the STL. Make sure verification testing is organized so that the resource and permit are available at the agreed time.
S/D and Projects Focal point for the operations area as tasked by STL.
In conjunction with other operations personnel, review any proposed modifications or work packs prior to implementation and provide feedback as appropriate.
Actively support and liaise with all residential and non-residential contractors and vendors, acting as the central point of contact, ensuring work carried out by 3rd party personnel conforms to statutory regulations and company standards.
Completion of the competency management system for the role in a timely manner.
Safety Management:
Understand and comply with the installation's safety case, statutory requirements, and safe systems of work.
Ensure contractors and vendors comply with Petrofac's safe systems of work and current legislation.
Emergency Response:
Perform in an emergency role as defined by the Company Emergency Response Procedure Manual and Station Bill
Essential Qualifications and Skills:
Recognized operations/production apprenticeship or training scheme.
Experience in hydrocarbon operations supports activities, preferably with multi-skilling experience.
OND/ONC/City and Guilds/NVQ Level 3: Production Operations.
ISSOW (Proscient or similar system) training to level 2.
SBT assembly and re-instatement to stage 3/4
Systems literate: experience of computerised management systems, e.g., Maximo, Spreadsheets, etc.
Good communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to share information and knowledge with other personnel.
