About the Role

We are hiring a Operator Technician to work 12-hour shifts at our Stubbins paper mill following a 4-on/4-off shift pattern (with an 18-day break after 7 sets). The role works as part of a 3-person team on the sites Paper Machine, facilitating the production, wrapping and storage of paper parent reels. As an Operator Technician, your technical capability will be utilised to provide site wide mechanical maintenance support.

What You Will Do

You will be responsible for operating machinery in your assigned area where you will execute all operational tasks with excellence and adhere to all documented procedures, while being responsible for keeping your area clean & well organised.

When called upon, you will undertake mechanical duties in all other areas of the mill, e.g., effluent plants, pulp process areas, boilers, filtration, and all other ancillary equipment as required and be the on-site out of hours resource to resolve issues.

Who You Are

You will have previous experience in working in similar FMCG industry where you have been proactive in utilising mechanical maintenance skills whilst maintaining strong H&S practices in your day-to-day work. A recognised mechanical qualification is desirable.

You will enjoy problem solving and troubleshooting issues to find the root cause.

Communicating effectively will be important to you and you will be someone who likes to ensure their work is accurate by paying attention to detail.
