The Opportunity



We're seeking a

dynamic Operator Trainer

to lead the way in building a highly skilled workforce. In this pivotal role, you'll ensure production operators are trained to the highest standards, supporting safe, efficient, and compliant operations. You'll also take ownership of onboarding, creating induction programmes that set new starters up for success.

What You'll Do



Lead Training Excellence:

Maintain and update the training matrix daily.

Plan & Assess:

Schedule weekly competency assessments with line managers.

Refresh & Reinforce:

Deliver refresher training after incidents or process changes.

Create Impactful Materials:

Develop standardized training content and machine-specific assessments.

Onboard with Confidence:

Design and implement a structured induction programme for new hires.

Collaborate for Success:

Work closely with HSE, Quality, and Production teams to align training with compliance standards.

Drive Continuous Improvement:

Use feedback and ISO 9001 principles to enhance training processes.

What We're Looking For



Essential:



Experience in manufacturing or production (blending experience is a plus). Strong understanding of machinery, safety protocols, and quality standards. Proven ability to deliver training and assess competency. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Meticulous attention to detail and record-keeping.

Desirable:



Train-the-Trainer certification or equivalent. Health & Safety qualification (IOSH, NEBOSH). Experience creating SOPs and training documentation.

Additional Advantageous Qualifications:

Lean Manufacturing / Continuous Improvement (e.g., Lean Six Sigma Yellow or Green Belt). ISO 9001 Quality Management training. Instructional Design or Training Development certification. First Aid or Emergency Response certification. Forklift or machinery operation licenses. NVQ or Diploma in Manufacturing Operations or Process Engineering.

Hours:

08.00 - 16.30 Monday to Friday, with some flexibility to cover the training needs of late shift.
