Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Ophthalmic Nurse to join our healthcare team.

The ideal candidate capable of running a clinic alone

and will possess a strong commitment to providing exceptional patient care and have a solid understanding of anatomy. As a Nurse, you will play a vital role in assessing patient needs, implementing care plans, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure the highest standards of care.

Duties and using particular machinery:

Take Biometry measurements using a Zeiss IOL Master 500 biometry machine

Take OCT scans, macular and glaucoma, using a Heidelberg Spectralis machine

Take Pentacam scans using an Oculus Pentacam machine

Deliver comprehensive patient care, including administering medications and treatments as prescribed. Conduct thorough assessments of patients' health status, documenting findings accurately. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare team members to develop and implement effective care plans. Monitor patients' progress and respond promptly to any changes in their condition. Educate patients and their families about health management, treatment plans, and preventive care. Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients by adhering to infection control protocols. Participate in ongoing professional development and training to enhance nursing skills and knowledge.

Requirements

Valid nursing qualification and registration with the relevant regulatory body. Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology is essential. Proven experience in patient care within a clinical setting is preferred. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build rapport with patients. Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. A compassionate approach towards patient care, demonstrating empathy and understanding at all times.
