We're seeking a Cook to join our team and help deliver nutritious, tasty meals that brighten people's days in our care home.


Every plate you prepare has the power to bring comfort, joy and dignity to our residents, and we're looking for someone who understands just how important that is.

As a Cook, you'll:

Prepare and serve meals tailored to individual dietary needs

Help plan menus using fresh, seasonal ingredients

Maintain a safe and hygienic kitchen, following food safety standards

Step in to support the rota by covering holidays and sickness when needed

What you'll need:

Previous experience cooking in a care home or similar setting

Strong background in food preparation with a keen understanding of food safety standards

Ability to thrive in a high-demand environment

Flexibility to work varied shifts on a rota basis

Willingness to work towards a food hygiene qualification if not already held

As a Christian organisation, you will need to have a respect for all aspects of Christian worship.


You will also need to become amember of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme and undertake the necessary vetting checks.You will also be required to adhere to the SSSC Code of practice.
