Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Optical Dispenser to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in assisting customers with their eyewear needs, ensuring they receive the best possible service and products. This position requires a strong understanding of optical products, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

Assist customers in selecting appropriate eyewear based on their needs and preferences. Accurately dispense glasses and contact lenses, ensuring proper fitting and adjustments. Maintain knowledge of various lens types, frames, and optical technologies to provide informed recommendations. Conduct measurements for lenses, including pupillary distance and fitting heights. Collaborate with optometrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care. Manage inventory of optical products, including ordering supplies as necessary. Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving any issues that may arise. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the dispensary environment.

Experience

Previous experience as an Optical Dispenser or in a similar role is preferred but not essential. Knowledge of laboratory procedures related to eyewear production is advantageous. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and colleagues alike. Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality service are essential traits for success in this role.
