Job Title:

Oracle Database Engineer

Christchurch

Salary:

Up to 52,500 depending on skills and experience

What you'll be doing:

The development processes (e.g. requirements, design, specification, implementation, acceptance testing), and development tools The design and implementation/modelling of database tables Implementation of database packages using the Structured Query Language (SQL) Performance monitoring and enhancement of an Oracle database, monitoring the Oracle website for updates and engaging with Oracle to request patches as well as Horizon scanning for vulnerabilities Configuring Windows/Linux/RHEL operating systems Creating bespoke applications and automated deployment using PowerShell

Your skills and experiences:

Systems development lifecycle experience, from design through to testing Demonstrable experience in Database Management A background in IT Defence domain knowledge is desirable Interpersonal and communication skills. Confidence to liaise with customer and user representatives to discuss systems technical issues

The Foundation team:

This exciting systems & software programme covers many disciplines including design, development, installation, implementation, integration, acceptance, training and logistics support - it is run solely from our Christchurch site for delivery to our customer at various MoD locations.
