We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Order Administrator to join our team.
This is a key role within the business where you will be responsible for ensuring all orders are placed in a timely, accurate and efficient manner with our suppliers.
Excellent data entry, attention to detail and accuracy skills are essential for this role.
Previous commercial experience gained working in the construction or related industry would be beneficial, however full training will be given.
Key Responsibilities
Place orders with suppliers and follow up queries and delivery dates
Process and import Excel material lists into our purchasing software to check stock levels and create pick lists
Monitor deliveries, update systems with delivery dates and flag issues
Take responsibility for ensuring materials are delivered in time for fabrication and/or installation
Place stock and consumables orders
Maintain and build excellent relationships with key suppliers
Obtain quotations for products as required
Ensure in-house purchasing software is updated quickly and accurately
Develop a thorough understanding of the in-house purchasing software (Inflow) and become a super user
Approve suppliers' invoices
Produce monthly purchasing reports/updates as required
Key Skills and Competencies
High level of IT competence, proficient in all MS Products, Excel, Word and Outlook
Full training will be given on purchasing, stock control software and Smartsheet (after training)
Well-organised with good time management
Good negotiation skills and the ability to build relationships with suppliers
Ability to multi-task and manage own workload
Able to use own initiative to resolve issues where appropriate
Ability to work effectively and accurately to minimise errors
Effective prioritisation skills, works with a methodical and structured approach
Be confident in delivering work to tight deadlines
Good written and verbal communication skills
Good numeracy skills
This is a great opportunity for someone looking to further develop their administration skills and gain experience within purchasing.
The role is Monday to Friday, hours are 8am to 5pm or 7.30am to 4.30pm.
