Job Summary

Trademaster are currently recruiting for a Order Picker to join a busy aggregates and garden distribution company based in Armthorpe. Ideally also a FLT License but not essential

Role will be picking boards from pick sheets and collating together to send to the customer.

Shift is Monday to Friday 8am till 4.30pm and Friday early finish at 2pm

Pay is 12.21 per hour / increase in January

Site visit is Friday 5th Dec @ 10am with a view to starting the role Monday 8th December

The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately selecting and preparing goods for shipment, ensuring efficient stock management and maintaining high standards of safety and quality. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with warehouse experience to develop their skills within a dynamic logistics environment.

Responsibilities

Efficiently pick items from inventory based on order specifications using warehouse management systems Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely to load and unload goods Stock shelves and organise products to optimise space utilisation and accessibility Pack items securely for dispatch, ensuring protection during transit Conduct quality control checks to verify accuracy and condition of products Assist with shipping and receiving tasks, including documentation and inventory updates Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the warehouse environment Perform heavy lifting as required, adhering to health and safety guidelines Support stock replenishment activities to ensure continuous product availability

Requirements

Proven experience in warehouse operations, including picking & packing, stocking, and shipping & receiving Knowledge of materials handling equipment, particularly forklifts (certification preferred) Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) or similar inventory software Mechanical knowledge or aptitude is advantageous for troubleshooting equipment issues Strong organisational skills with attention to detail for accurate order fulfilment Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently Good understanding of quality control procedures within a warehouse setting Previous experience in warehouse management or logistics is desirable but not essential Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
