The

Organisational Development (OD) Advisor

at Kisimul is responsible for cultivating a nurturing, supportive, and high-performing culture that empowers our colleagues to achieve their full potential. This role designs and implements strategic initiatives to develop our workforce, embed our values, and drive organisational change, ultimately strengthening our ability to provide holistic, person-centred care and foster personal growth for the individuals we support.



Embedding the ABC Framework




Supports the review and reimagining of specific employee lifecycle processes (e.g., induction, supervision, PDR) to fully embed the ABC Framework. Provides practical, frontline support and guidance to colleagues on implementing the framework in their daily interactions and specific processes. Collects feedback on the user-friendliness and effectiveness of ABC processes for continuous improvement.



Colleague Development Pathway Support




Supports the development of clear career pathways by creating accessible resources, communication materials, and conducting introductory workshops for colleagues on growth and development opportunities at Kisimul.
Implements and tracks individual colleague progress along established development pathways.

Learning Programme Delivery & Coordination

Supports the design of development programmes and delivers specific modules and workshops within early career, aspiring leaders, and established leadership development programmes. Manages the logistical coordination with internal subject matter experts (SMEs) and external training providers for programme delivery.
Supports the creation and customisation of learning content for various development programmes.

Skills Gap Implementation & Training Support

Supports the programme design and delivers specific training initiatives to address identified skills gaps (e.g., digital literacy, communication skills, core 'soft skills') ensuring colleagues are equipped for digital transformation and Kisimul's standards. Assists in conducting training needs analyses for specific teams or skills sets.
Collaborates with qualifications, eLearning, compliance and clinical teams to ensure training content is accurate, up-to-date, and provides a succinct offering of development.

Employee Engagement

Takes a key role in the logistical planning and rollout of employee engagement surveys, including managing timelines, technical aspects, and communication schedules. Supports the collation and initial quantitative and qualitative analysis of survey data and feedback from various channels (e.g., focus groups, suggestion schemes). Supports leaders in the organisation deliver meaningful feedback from surveys, take ownership and follow up - "You said, we did" Supports the design and implementation of specific employee engagement opportunities and initiatives, actively utilising and promoting existing tools and platforms, such as The Village
Monitors participation and initial feedback from engagement activities.

Project Co-production & Execution

Actively participates in the co-production of OD projects, taking responsibility for specific work packages, deliverables, and ensuring project timelines are met.
Engages with internal stakeholders and teams at an operational level to gather input, facilitate workshops, and support the embedding of project outputs.

Communication Implementation & Support

Assists in the implementation of communication plans, ensuring messages are clear, accessible, and reach all relevant colleagues through identified Supports mechanisms for two-way communication and feedback.

Culture & Values

Supports the embedding of Kisimul's values and trauma-informed practice within specific OD initiatives and colleague interactions Assists in developing materials and delivering training that reinforce these principles.
Sources, Designs and Delivers bespoke training sessions which enhance Kisimul's culture, including specific modules on leadership and team development.

Leader Coaching Support


Provides coaching support to managers on specific developmental areas, under the guidance of the OD Business Partner.

General OD Support & Collaboration

Supports organisational assessment by collecting and collating data Contributes to internal OD consultancy by providing practical advice to managers on OD principles. Assists with change management activities by supporting communication and training. Conducts data analysis for specific projects and initiatives. Maintains up-to-date knowledge of OD best practices and trends relevant to their project areas.




Sector-Specific Responsibilities


Implements OD programs with a clear understanding of how they contribute to regulatory compliance (CQC's/Ofsted's "Well-led", "Effective", "Safe" key questions). Assists with documentation and evidence gathering for inspections, demonstrating colleague development and a culture of learning. Utilises Skills for Care guidance and resources in designing and delivering specific training or development initiatives (e.g., Care Certificate standards, Core Skills Training Framework where applicable). Supports with the creation of values-based interviewing techniques during recruitment processes.



Organisation Design & Workforce Planning Support




Supports the mapping of current organisational structures and assisting with the implementation of structural changes. Assists with data collection for workforce planning and analysing current workforce demographics.



Performance Management System Implementation Support




Supports the rollout and training on performance management processes, ensuring consistency of application. Provides practical guidance to colleagues on effective performance discussions aligned with the ABC Framework. Supports the identification of high-potential colleagues and assisting with the implementation of development plans linked to succession planning.

About You




CIPD Level 5 or willing to work towards (Desirable) Direct involvement in the design, refinement, or rollout of employee lifecycle processes (e.g., onboarding, performance reviews, talent management), particularly where linked to a specific framework or values. Capability in creating or adapting learning content and resources. Good time management skills with the ability to prioiritise across multiple projects Familiarity with ensuring training content aligns with compliance requirements (e.g., sector-specific standards) and internal clinical expertise. Involvement in implementing employee engagement opportunities, ideally utilising digital platforms. Analysing and present data in an accessible way Ability to engage with

internal stakeholders and teams at an operational level

to gather input and facilitate project progress, ideally within a

co-production

framework. Understanding of how to embed

organisational values, frameworks (e.g., ABC Framework), and trauma-informed practice

into daily work and specific initiatives. Experience in providing

supportive coaching or guidance

to managers or individuals on developmental topics. Familiarity with the UK social care sector and its regulatory bodies (CQC, Ofsted), and private SEN Education, and understanding how OD initiatives contribute to compliance and quality ratings. Awareness of Skills for Care frameworks, resources, and best practices relevant to workforce development in social care.
