Oromo Interpreter

Job Description
We are looking for professional and reliable Oromo Interpreters who are fluent in both Oromo and English to facilitate effective communication between individuals with limited English proficiency and service providers. The ideal candidate will possess excellent language skills, cultural understanding, and the ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all settings.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide accurate and complete interpretation between Oromo and English in real-time (consecutive and/or simultaneous interpreting). Interpret during meetings, interviews, medical appointments, legal proceedings, or community events as required. Translate basic written documents when necessary. Maintain confidentiality and impartiality in all interpreting sessions.
Qualifications:
Fluency in Oromo and English. Proven experience as an interpreter or in a similar language support role (preferred but not mandatory). Strong understanding of Oromo culture and linguistic nuances. Professional demeanor and strong interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Work Environment:
On the road May require flexible scheduling, including evenings or weekends. May involve travel to various locations depending on client needs.
Job Types: Part-time, Freelance
Pay: 15.00-20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 2 per week
