Responsibilities
Assist dentists during examinations and procedures by providing necessary instruments and materials.
Prepare treatment rooms, ensuring all equipment is sterilised and ready for use.
Maintain accurate patient records, including medical histories and treatment plans.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Manage appointment scheduling and patient flow to ensure efficient operation of the practice.
Handle administrative tasks such as billing and insurance claims as needed.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the practice.
Skills
Strong patient care skills with a focus on empathy and understanding.
Knowledge of anatomy relevant to dental health, enabling effective communication with patients about their treatment.
Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
Proficient in using dental software systems for record keeping and scheduling.
Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all aspects of patient care.
