Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for an individual to join us here at Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust working with a multi-disciplinary Maxillo-Facial, Oral Surgery and Orthodontic team, as we transform the way we deliver oral health care across the scenic county of Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.Cornwall is a beautiful county which offers an outstanding quality of life; in particular it provides many opportunities for outdoor activities, with its sailing waters, surfing beaches and rugged coastal pathways for walking and cycling.



The post will consist of working closely with the clinical orthodontic team to implement care plans as requested and help provide complex orthodontic treatment.



o Collecting complete patient orthodontic records



o Interpreting treatment plans as directed by the Consultants and Specialists and clearly communicating them to patients, parents and carers.



o Placing, removing and adjusting fixed and removable orthodontic appliances.



o Working autonomously to make patients appliances safe.



o Delivering Oral Health Instruction and encouraging patients to comply with the care requirements of their treatment.



o Supporting the department's audit and research process through collating and managing information.
