As the Operating Unit Financial Controller, you will play a pivotal role in driving financialexcellence across Cementation. You will be
responsible for delivering accurate, timely reporting, scrutinising project performance, leading a high-performing finance team and
ensuring robust financial controls are in place.
What you'll do:

  • Oversee timely and accurate month-end reporting, providing detailed variance analysis for projects,
  • other costs of sales and selling & administrative costs (S&A)
  • Lead the quarterly forecast review process and producing a high-quality Forecasting pack.
  • Scrutinise project performance, ensuring project forecasts are robust and reported in line
  • With Skanska's policies and IFRS standards along with leading preparation for Internal Audits within
  • Cementation.
  • Play a pivotal role in developing and implementing an ERP transition plan for Cementation.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the Cementation Finance team to achieve operational and strategic goals.
  • Collaborate with the business to ensure people and assets are well utilised through comprehensive
  • resource plans, identifying areas of improvement.
  • Manage the Balance Sheet for Cementation, ensuring all balance sheet reconciliations are accurate
  • and regularly maintained.
  • Be responsible for preparing Cementation's corporation tax pack and support the tax team in ensuring
  • timely and accurate submissions.
  • Maintain adherence to financial processes and controls; identify and implement enhancements to systems and procedures where appropriate.
  • Manage the Group audit process and provide statutory year-end information to Group Finance.
  • Managing a number of other projects such as insurance return preparation, cost audits on projects, etc
What you'll bring to the role:
  • ACCA or CIMA qualified
  • Several progressive finance experience; at least a few years in a manager or senior analyst role
  • Proven track record managing month-end close, financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting
  • In-depth knowledge of IFRS accounting standards and corporate tax processes
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across multiple departments and stakeholders
  • Proven experience in financial management within a complex business environment
  • Strong leadership skills with a track record of developing high-performing teams
  • Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail
