Job Summary


Join our dynamic healthcare team as an Out of Hours Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP), where you'll play a vital role in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care outside standard operating hours. This energetic position offers the opportunity to manage urgent and ongoing patient needs efficiently, ensuring seamless access to healthcare services during evenings, nights, weekends, and bank holidays. As an Out of Hours ANP, you will work autonomously within a multidisciplinary team to provide expert clinical assessments, diagnoses, and treatment plans, making a real difference in patients' lives when they need it most.

Duties



Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients presenting with urgent or ongoing health concerns during out-of-hours periods Diagnose and manage a wide range of acute and chronic conditions using advanced clinical judgment and evidence-based practices Prescribe medications and treatments in accordance with current guidelines and legal frameworks Collaborate closely with GPs, emergency services, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care Document all clinical encounters accurately within electronic health records, maintaining confidentiality and compliance standards Provide health education and self-management advice to empower patients in their recovery and well-being Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of out-of-hours service protocols

Qualifications



Registered Nurse with an active Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) qualification recognized by relevant regulatory bodies Proven experience working autonomously in urgent or primary care settings, preferably within out-of-hours services Strong clinical assessment skills with the ability to make swift, accurate decisions under pressure Knowledge of current NHS or equivalent healthcare policies, protocols, and prescribing regulations Excellent communication skills to effectively liaise with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, nights, weekends, and public holidays as required Nice-to-have: Additional certifications in urgent care or minor illness management; experience with electronic health record systems

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Temporary
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: 40.00-55.00 per hour

Expected hours: 6 - 42 per week
