At PDSA, we are excited to be introducing a new Out of Hours (OOH) service at our Leicester Pet Hospital - but this is not a normal OOH role!

It is also important to us that you are able to work safely in this role so there are comprehensive safe ways of working in place with all the guidance, support and equipment you need to do your job successfully while protecting you, colleagues and clients.


We want you to stay in this role and grow with it as it develops in PDSA so we are looking for an experienced Vet Surgeon with a particular interest in emergency and critical care work. It is also important that you are motivated to help develop and support Vet Students who, at times, will be supporting this service.


Candidate should be competent with sole charge, focusing on medical and surgical emergency cases, competent in soft tissue surgery.

Leicester Pet Hospital is well equipped with a friendly and welcoming team who support each other whatever happens on shift - providing support is critical to the team whether that's a coffee, a break or doing something silly for charity!


It is also a well located Hospital with easy access from almost anywhere - it is close to the M1 & M6 motorway, has good rail links, and is less than 30 minutes from East Midlands Airport.
