Mellor Primary School is seeking a warm, enthusiastic and committed individual to join our team as an

Out of School Care (OOSC) Assistant

. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys supporting children in a safe, nurturing and fun setting outside of regular school hours.

About the Role:

You will be part of our wraparound care provision, supporting pupils before and/or after school. This includes helping plan and deliver engaging activities, preparing healthy snacks, and ensuring a calm, inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and care for children aged 3-11 in a safe and stimulating environment Plan and lead fun, meaningful activities that align with our PERMA-V values Support children's wellbeing and social development Build positive relationships with pupils, parents/carers, and colleagues Help with snack preparation and setting up/clearing away activities Promote positive behaviour and inclusive play

We're Looking For Someone Who:

Has a genuine passion for working with children Is caring, reliable, and enthusiastic Is a strong team player with good communication skills Is aligned with our school's PERMA-V ethos and approach to wellbeing Holds or is working towards a relevant childcare qualification (Level 2/3 desirable) Has an understanding of safeguarding and child protection
