We are seeking a dedicated Out of School Club Practitioner to provide high-quality care and support to children outside of school hours. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment that promotes children's development and well-being. Duties
Plan and deliver engaging activities that support children's social, emotional, and developmental needs
Supervise children during after-school hours, ensuring their safety at all times
Foster a welcoming and inclusive environment where children feel valued and supported
Maintain clear communication with parents, carers, and colleagues regarding children's progress and needs
Organise daily routines, including snack times, homework support, and outdoor play
Lead by example in demonstrating management and leadership skills to junior staff or volunteers
Ensure compliance with safeguarding policies and health & safety regulations at all times
Maintain accurate records of children's attendance and behaviour
Skills
Proven experience working with children in childcare settings, nurseries, or early childhood education environments
Strong management and leadership abilities to oversee activities and guide team members effectively
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
Ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
Good organisational skills to manage daily routines efficiently
Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and child protection policies
Passionate about supporting children's development through creative and educational activities

Successful candidates will be subject to PVG checks, 3 references and either be registered or prepare to be registered with the SSSC
