Role Overview:
This role focuses on outbound telesales to promote a venue booking platform that connects local community groups with available school facilities. You'll be responsible for identifying and engaging potential hirerssuch as sports teams, tutors, and community organizationsthrough phone outreach. Success in this role involves building strong relationships, understanding client needs, scheduling tours or bookings, and maintaining accurate records in the CRM (HubSpot). You'll work toward specific call and conversion targets while collaborating with marketing and customer success teams to optimise lead quality and campaign alignment. The ideal candidate is a confident, proactive communicator with a background in telesales and a passion for supporting local communities.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct outbound calls to potential hirers, introducing our venue platform and available school facilities.
Research and identify local sports teams, tutors, community groups, and instructors who would benefit from using school spaces.
Build strong relationships with potential hirersunderstanding their space needs, availability, and location preferences.
Book tours and trials, and/or close bookings over the phone using our lettings platform.
Maintain accurate lead records in the CRM (HubSpot) and follow up in a timely manner.
Hit daily and weekly call activity and conversion targets.
Work closely with the marketing and customer success teams to align on local campaigns and lead quality.
Provide feedback on common objections and market trends to improve our approach.
What We're Looking For
Must-Have:
Outbound telesales or telemarketing experience with a proven track record of hitting targets.
Confident communicator with strong phone and interpersonal skills.
Comfortable speaking to a variety of potential customersfrom youth football coaches to private tutors.
A self-starter who can manage their pipeline and follow up without being chased.
Organised, resilient, and enthusiastic about helping local communities access space.
Nice to Have:
Experience working in education, lettings, venue hire, or community engagement.
Familiarity with HubSpot or other CRMs.
Understanding of the challenges and needs of community-based groups.
