We are seeking an experienced and motivated Outfit Design Discipline Lead to take ownership of the technical area.
As a senior figure within the team, you will lead the development, training, and quality management of the discipline, ensuring consistent delivery of high standards across all projects.
Responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities: + Lead and manage the technical discipline, acting as the go-to expert for Outfit.
+ Drive training and capability development within the team, fostering a strong learning culture.
+ Implement and uphold discipline-specific quality standards, tools, and best practices.
+ Provide mentoring and coaching to engineers and designers to support professional growth.
+ Collaborate closely with project teams to ensure effective integration of discipline-specific inputs.
+ Act as a key technical interface with clients, providing support and assurance across projects.
+ Contribute to resource planning, recruitment, and succession within the discipline.




Qualifications:
Degree in Engineering, STEM, or equivalent professional qualification/experience.



Essential skills:
Requirements:
+ Strong understanding of Class & Flag Requirements
+ Strong technical background in marine engineering with a focus on Outfitting.
+ Proven leadership skills with experience mentoring and developing others.
+ Excellent communication and client engagement skills.
+ Commitment to quality, continuous improvement, and innovation.


Experience:
Experience in Design working / leading on Naval or Commercial Marine projects (preferably naval shipbuilding projects/alternatively new build or major conversion packages) or similar, preferably T26.
