The Team




Inspiring Choices is a widening participation programme that offers impartial advice and guidance on the benefits and realities of all educational progression routes including doing an apprenticeship, going to college and/or university. It is part of a national programme called Uni Connect and is funded by the Office for Students

The role




Are you energetic, driven, and ready to inspire the next generation? Inspiring Choices is looking for a confident and motivated team player to join our team of Outreach Coordinators.


As part of our outreach team, you'll work face-to-face with students in schools and colleges across York and North Yorkshire. You'll plan and deliver exciting workshops, mentoring sessions, and events that open minds and raise aspirations. If you've ever wanted to lead, inspire, and make a real difference, this is your chance.

Required skills and experience




We want someone who:

Is passionate about supporting young people Enjoys speaking to groups and getting others involved Has experience (formal or informal) leading activities or working with schools, colleges, or youth groups Works well in a team and builds strong relationships Brings energy, creativity, and a can-do attitude

Whether you've worked in outreach before or just know you've got what it takes, we'd love to hear from you.

Additional information




The post will be based at York St John University with opportunity for home working. There is a requirement to work on a flexible basis, including very occasional evening/weekends. This role involves frequent travel to rural locations, where public transport is often limited or unavailable. A full, valid driving license is therefore essential to ensure you can reliably reach schools and colleges on time.
