Lassod Consulting Ltd is a provider of supported accommodation to vulnerable young people aged 16 plus. We deliver quality support flexibly to all young people placed in our care in a person-centred manner. Some of our young people may be Looked After, Asylum Seekers, Care Leavers etc, some who may present who may have experienced trauma, been involved in the criminal justice system, engaged in drug-related activities, or struggle with boundaries setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Working under hybrid arrangement (from home and at various addresses -young person's location), you will provide structured outcome-focused keywork support to a case load of 12 young people aged 18+ with various needs in West and Southwest London areas including Kingston, Richmond, Feltham etc.
Build trusting, professional relationships with young people while maintaining firm boundaries.
Support the young people in developing life skills, education, employment, and positive routines.
Implement and enforce house rules, safeguarding procedures, and behavior management strategies.
Effectively de-escalate challenging behaviors and manage crisis situations.
Work collaboratively with management, social workers, probation officers, and other professionals to ensure the best outcomes for young people.
Maintain accurate records, incident reports, and risk assessments in line with Ofsted regulations.
Promote a safe, structured, and nurturing support delivery that encourages positive change.
Undertake various support related tasks using existing systems and methodologies including support plans, needs assessment, risk assessment etc
Monitoring and recording health and safety compliances, young people's wellbeing engagements with support, welfare checks, safeguarding etc.
Implementing placement plans and following specific instructions for each young person
Providing advocacy support to the young person(s) placed in our with us
Performing various liaison, support and joint working tasks with social workers, PAs, specialist support agencies, doctors, college with and or on behalf of the young person(s)
Performing admin tasks as may be assigned and documenting and writing various reports as may be required including contact notes, weekly reports, monthly reports, incident reports, key work sessions etc.
Willingness to work flexibly including weekdays and weekends etc
Essential Skills & Competencies:
Strong resilience and the ability to manage challenging and aggressive behaviors.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage young people.
Conflict resolution and de-escalation skills.
Understanding of trauma, attachment disorders, and youth offending behaviors.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a high-pressure environment.
Basic IT skills for record-keeping and reporting.
Willing to undergo enhanced DBS check
Qualifications & Experience:
Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare, Health & Social Care, Youth Work, or equivalent (or willingness to work towards this qualification).
Experience working with vulnerable young people, particularly those with offending backgrounds, gang involvement, or substance misuse issues.
Knowledge of safeguarding policies, child protection, and Ofsted regulations.
Enhanced DBS check (required).
Desirable:
CPI, MAPA, or de-escalation training.
A valid driving license is an advantage.
Valid First Aid certificate
