The Outreach Worker acts as a vital liaison between The Black Curriculum and local communities, especially within educational institutions. This role focuses on building meaningful relationships with schools, attending community and council events, and amplifying The Black Curriculum's mission of embedding Black British history into the national curriculum.
Responsibilities
? Represent The Black Curriculum in schools, councils, and community spaces.
? Promote and support the delivery of educational programmes.
? Strengthen partnerships with local councils, educators, and families.
? Gather feedback and report on community needs and interests.
? Support the visibility and credibility of The Black Curriculum in the region.
Qualifications
Proven experience in education is highly desirable.
Excellent administrative skills, including project management and organisational abilities.
Experience in fundraising or marketing within a community setting is highly desirable.
Ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups, demonstrating empathy and understanding of community needs.
A proactive approach to problem-solving with a commitment to achieving positive outcomes for the community.
