Job Summary

We are hiring on behalf of our Client for a skilled Crane Operator. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating remote controlled cranes to lift, move, and position steel and equipment in a safe and efficient manner. This role requires previous OHC experience, as well as FLT experience, however an external FLT license is

not required and training can be in-house.

The right candidate will have the opportunity to skill up and increase their hourly wage and move into profile operating roles.

This role will be permanent after an agreed period.

Hours:

Mon to Thurs 7:00 to 16:30 and Friday 6:00 to 1:30pm

Responsibilities

:

Operate overhead cranes to lift and transport materials and equipment. Pre-pick steel. Load and unload vehicles. Operate counterbalance forklifts where required. Conduct pre-operational checks on cranes and other lifting equipment to ensure safety and functionality. Collaborate with site supervisors and other team members to coordinate lifting operations effectively. Follow all safety protocols and regulations while operating machinery in construction or warehouse settings. Report any mechanical issues promptly. Assist with materials handling, ensuring proper loading and unloading of goods.

Skills

:

Familiarity with overhead cranes and forklifts required. Previous experience working with steel will be beneficial. Excellent communication skills to work effectively with team members and supervisors. A commitment to safety practices and the ability to recognise potential hazards on site.
