Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Owner Van Driver on a self employed basis to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods, ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining the highest standards of customer service. This role requires a strong understanding of vehicle operation and maintenance, as well as excellent communication skills to interact with clients and team members effectively.

Responsibilities

Safely operate a van to transport goods to various locations. Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition. Load and unload goods, ensuring they are secured properly during transit. Maintain accurate delivery records and logs. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues. Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving. Assist in warehouse duties as needed, including inventory management and organisation of goods. Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, addressing any client concerns professionally.

Skills

Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role. Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics. Valid commercial driving licence is preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge for basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with clients and team members. Experience driving flatbed vehicles is an advantage. Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in record keeping. Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.

Requirements:

Must have your own van (No older than 2020)

Must have appropriate insurance (Goods in transit, Hire & Reward)
