Our Business Team combines efficient legal support colleagues with trusted and experienced lawyers who together deliver outstanding client service across the full range of business services.
The Business Team is led by Corri Pedrick, a Corporate Partner, and Jayme Nicholson, an Employment Partner. The team work collaboratively with individuals, businesses and corporations to ensure that their commercial objectives are met by providing focused, practical and pragmatic advice.
The Role
The candidate will provide PA support to the firm's Business Team Partners.
The role will provide the successful candidate with a challenging and rewarding opportunity to become involved at all levels of the firm's business, from client services to practice management, by executing a wide range of administrative duties efficiently and effectively in order to allow the Partners to focus on the more strategic elements of their respective roles.
You will be expected to have contact with clients, both in person and by telephone and email, as well as with other law firms and related professional organisations and agencies. You will also provide efficient administrative and secretarial support using a case management system and a wide range of business software applications and will assist with time and daily management, scheduling of meetings and note taking.
Who You Are
Your role as PA to the Business Team Partners is key so previous experience of working at this level is essential. It would be a distinct advantage if you have worked within the legal services profession before, although this is not essential, providing you have enthusiasm and a willingness to learn and develop your knowledge and experience in this particular sector.
You will be a first-class administrator and a strong team player who is committed to providing the best possible support to the individuals you report to.
You will:
Have excellent written and verbal communication skills and will be articulate and able to communicate clearly, concisely and without jargon.
Have experience of working with a variety of business software packages and an excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook.
Have exceptional time management skills and an ability to manage several projects simultaneously.
Have a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail, as well as a good knowledge of grammar and its application.
Have the ability to work on your own initiative and under pressure, whilst maintaining a thorough, organised and methodical approach to your work.
Be flexible and adaptable when necessary.
Be confident and comfortable in communicating with a variety of individuals at all levels.
