Millfield School is seeking a highly organised and professional Personal Assistant to support the Director of Sport in delivering a wide range of operational and administrative functions. We are looking to appoint someone on a fixed-term basis to cover maternity leave from 1st September 2025 to 31st March 2026.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth coordination of day-to-day activities across the sports department. Duties will include:
Oversee and coordinate sports administration, including termly reports, Individual Development Plans (IDPs), and coaching schedules.
Manage systems such as SOCS for planning and recording sport sessions and fixtures across all departments.
Lead facility bookings, accommodation arrangements, kit distribution, and logistics for termly sports.
Support Director of Sport with diary management, governor reports, complaints handling, and academic interview processes.
This position requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and advanced IT proficiency--particularly in Microsoft Excel. The ability to manage multiple priorities, work to tight deadlines, and maintain discretion when dealing with confidential information is essential. A genuine interest in sport and education, along with a proactive and professional approach, will be key to success in this role.
This is a fixed-term position from 1st September 2025 to 31st March 2026 working 19 hours per week, Monday to Friday during term time. The salary for the duration of the contract is 9,276.37 (inclusive of statutory holiday pay).
