We are seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented person to join our team. In this role, you will oversee daily packaging operations, ensuring they run smoothly, efficiently, and in line with our commitment to quality and sustainability. Working closely with the Production Supervisor and Production Manager, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining high production standards, optimising equipment performance, and supporting our environmental initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Packaging Operations Leadership
Take the lead in daily packaging operations, ensuring production kits are prepared and lines are set up on time.
Guide the team during production to ensure efficiency and adherence to SOPs.
Assist in onboarding and training new team members on equipment operation and packaging standards.
Oversee dry goods inventory, ensuring stock levels are accurate, recorded, and aligned with production needs.
Quality Assurance
Work with the Production Manager and Technical team to implement, conduct, and document quality checks during and after production, including:
Fill levels, label placement, closure integrity, and product presentation.
Lot code accuracy and carton labelling.
Spot checks to confirm finished goods meet specifications.
Identify and communicate non-conformances, recommending corrective actions.
Equipment Performance & Maintenance
Support machine downtime monitoring and tracking, ensuring issues are clearly communicated.
Develop and maintain machine set-up guides and troubleshooting documentation for each product.
Contribute to planned preventative maintenance (PPM) to keep machinery running at peak performance.
Sustainability & Compliance
Collaborate with the Production Manager to achieve packaging sustainability targets, including:
Minimising waste.
Identifying recyclable or lower-impact packaging options.
Promoting efficient use of materials.
Participate in SWGB audits, EPR compliance, and wider sustainability projects.
Attend supplier meetings and site visits as needed.
Skills & Attributes
Proven experience in packaging or production leadership, ideally in a beverage or food manufacturing setting.
Strong understanding of packaging machinery and quality control processes.
Excellent organisational skills with an eye for detail.
Ability to motivate and mentor a team in a fast-paced environment.
Commitment to sustainable and environmentally responsible practices.

Pay: 25,000.00-28,000.00 per year
