Glenrath Farms is looking for a Highley motivated individual to source all egg packaging.
The key objective of the Packaging Manager is to lead the Packaging functions across site to guarantee continuity of supply and exceed customer expectations. Develop and implement Packaging management strategy, including resource, systems, timescales, financials, to support, contribute to, and integrate within the organisation's annual business plan and long-term strategy.
Main Responsibilities
General
Responsible for shaping the organisation's Packaging strategy and plans to ensure production,
packing and other processes meet the agreed Standards in accordance with customer
requirements, accreditation schemes and organisational Policy.
Responsible for all packaging technical areas relating to product safety, legality and quality. You will
manage commercial operations, packaging and technical relationships with customers and provide
a point of difference.
Driving and supporting an effective quality and food safety culture.
Responsible for the management of packaging suppliers and advising on packaging
regulations/legislation updates and BREXIT.
Provide legal and technical advice and guidance to ensure that business standards for quality, safety,
statutory compliance, corporate social responsibility and integrity are achieved and technical
initiatives are delivered.
Lead role in creating, establishing and overseeing operations and packaging policies for food
security.
Implementing our Packaging policies across the company.
Work in partnership with the Production, Sales, Product Development, Distribution, Engineering and
Admin teams and customer commercial/Technical departments to support new product launches,
line extensions and continuous quality improvement projects.
Customer Service
Customer engagement regarding all packaging technical matters, including hosting site visits and
audits.
Ensuring all products, systems and procedures are compliant with customers' codes of practice and specifications. Ensuring customer specifications are accurate and up to date. Represent the Company at Supplier Technical conferences, meetings and other events.
Environmental
Reduce the negative environmental impact of the role by ensuring operation efficiencies, including
review of environmental impact of Packaging production and supply.
Reduce waste within the supply chain, and to reduce impact within the local community.
